Hypercholesterolaemia is a high level of cholesterol in the blood. This can increase your risk of heart disease due to a build-up of fatty deposits in arteries (arteriosclerosis). A high cholesterol level is generally associated with the food we eat. A fatty diet is more likely to increase your cholesterol level.
