You need to do some activity every day. Any type of activity is better than nothing, but doing aerobic exercise (exercise that uses large muscle groups in a rhythmical way and gets you out of breath) is recommended. The recommended amount of exercise is 20 to 30 minutes, five times a week. It should be an activity that gets you slightly out of breath. The most common form of exercise is walking. Other types of aerobic exercise include cycling, swimming and jogging.
